Ikeya Formula are quite well known for their circuit and drift suspension components, used in top level drifting including the D1 championship. However, Ikeya Formula also manufacture a range of the highest quality engine parts for popular drift vehicles - especially the SR20DET as used in the Nissan 180SX and Silvia.
The Ikeya Formula 4 throttle chamber and surge tank is one of those setups that go into the wish list for building the ultimate SR20DET. Like the RB26DETT design, the Ikeya Forumula kit splits the throttle over the 4 chambers which helps to improve response, the smaller throttle moving faster and closer to the cylinder. The surge tank, sometimes called the plenum, has also had its capacity increased and design enhanced to ensure equal balance over all 4 throttles, critical in high performance conditions.
